What is Festival?
Festival is GALA Choruses’ signature event—and the largest LGBTQIA+ choral event in the world—that takes place every four years in a different city. LGBTQIA+ choruses from all over the Americas and beyond gather for five days of singing, connecting, and creating. It’s wall-to-wall concerts, workshops, social events, joy and pride. It’s you with thousands of your peers taking over a city and filling it with song. Starting with the first Festival in 1983, we’ve held 11 Festivals in eight cities throughout the United States and Canada—Festival 2028 will be the twelfth.
