GALA Choruses' staff includes an Artistic Director-in-Residence (ADR) to offer member choruses artistic mentorship and to provide artistic vision and direction to GALA Choruses events, projects and programs. The position has been designed as a rotating appointment with a two-year term. Artistic Director, Jane Ramseyer Miller will serve as ADR beginning September 1, 2010 for 2010-2012.

Consultation is provided without charge for GALA member choruses; choruses cover lodging, meals and transportation for on-site consultations and retreats.

Artistic issues addressed may include those listed below or others to be determined between the ADR and the requesting chorus.

  • Creative and mission-focused programming, repertoire selection
  • Community outreach and collaborations
