GALA Choruses is organizing a mixed chorus from North American and European GALA choruses to perform as guests at the Out and Loud Choral Festival April 2-5, 2010. Australian-born Dr. Kathleen McGuire, from the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus, will conduct the chorus. Detailed information on the Festival is available at http://www.outandloud.org/. We are particularly excited about forming a chorus to attend Out and Loud as several Australian choruses have recently joined GALA Choruses and there are ongoing discussions about ways to strengthen the ties between LGBT choruses worldwide.
If you are interested in participating, please review the Frequently Asked Questions sheet below for further details and then complete the registration form below. Where the form asks for "Choir you belong to" please insert North American Composite Choir as that is the title being used for the chorus by the folks in New Zealand. Please return the form to both the email address listed on the form in item 10 and also send a copy to info@galachoruses.org so we have a listing of who is attending and voice parts.
The Festival organizers have asked that we collect the registration fees for members of the GALA mixed chorus and remit to them in one wire transfer. The registration fee for those registering by January 31 is $195 NZD which translates to $140 USD currently. Please use the form below to remit your registration fee.
