2008 Managers and Directors Retreat

The artistic directors will schedule reading sessions and group discussions on items of current interest at the meet and greet on Thursday evening. The executive directors of the large choruses will determine their own group discussion agendas. The agenda for executive directors and other administrative personnel from the mid-size choruses will be determined based on responses to the survey. Following is the general schedule for the retreat.

Thursday, Jan. 3

Arrivals

7:30 pm – 8:30 pm – Meet and Greet for Managers and Directors and discussion of free agenda time.

Friday, Jan. 4

9:00 am – 3:30 pm – Managers and Directors agenda
9:00-10:30 am – Arts Marketing on a Budget, Administrative Managers
2:00 pm – Trip to Carnival Performing Arts Center
4:00 pm – 6:00 pm – Group discussion with GALA Choruses Board, Managers and Directors
6:00 pm – 7:30 pm – Reception

Saturday, Jan. 5

9:00 am – 11:30 am – Managers and Directors agenda
11:30 am – 1:00 pm Brunch for Managers, Directors and GALA Choruses Board and Staff - View Menu
Afternoon – 1:30 – 5:00 pm – Managers and Directors agenda

Sweeney Todd is showing at the Ziff Ballet Opera House at 8 PM all three evenings in case anyone wants to hear the sound in the hall.
