Festival 2008 Mixed Festival Chorus
Jane Ramseyer Miller is in her thirteenth year as Artistic Director for One Voice Mixed Chorus, Minnesota’s GLBTA chorus. She holds Masters of Music in Choral Conducting from the University of Minnesota and a BA in Psychology from the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada.
Ramseyer Miller has served as Music Director for several church choirs as well as for TransVoices, Calliope Women’s Chorus, Fierra Voce Femmina, and Voices for Peace – a multi–cultural youth choir. Ramseyer Miller’s compositions are published by Yelton Rhodes Music and Pilgrim Press. She especially enjoys creative arts collaborations and has created choral music with 15–Head Theater Lab, The Women’s Cancer Resource Center, Shakopee Women’s Correctional Facility, In the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theatre, Kairos Dance Theatre, Mu Daiko, Teens Rock the Mic and District 202 among others.

Mixed Festival Chorus Commission
In the past 20 years, Craig Carnahan has received over 40 commissions for original compositions. His music has been heard in performances by such noted ensembles as the Dale Warland Singers, the Los Angeles Master Chorale, VocalEssence (Minneapolis, MN), Kantorei (Denver, CO), Conspirare (Austin, TX), and over thirty GALA choruses. Recent commissions and premieres include It Is the Song for the Mixed Festival Chorus of GALA Choruses Festival 2008, Things That Never Die for Perfect Harmony Men’s Chorus (Madison, WI), Johnny Has Gone for The Singers: Minnesota Choral Artists (Minneapolis, MN), and Sappho’s Raft for Kantorei. Craig was Artistic Director of the Twin Cities Gay Men’s Chorus from 1994-2000 and is a past member of GALA’s Board of Directors.
