Well, welcome to YouTube, the online community where you can create your own broadcast. With minimal expense and help from one of those techno types in your chorus you can create a video that will generate a buzz about your next concert. This session will demonstrate some simple techniques for shooting, producing and editing video that you can then post on YouTube. Remember YouToo can YouTube.

  • How to produce a short effective video vignette for uploading
  • How to market that vignette through chorus email, YouTube and MySpace
  • Simple techniques for shooting and recording audio

The Mystery of Podcasting – Philip Blackburn

Did you always want to be a podcaster when you grew up? Now you can. If you didn’t, it’s not too late to learn about XML files, RSS feeds, and how your friends can go jogging while listening to your latest audio blog. You can even use it to help the tenor section learn their new repertoire.

Participants will learn:

  • When to podcast and when not to
  • Whether you need an iPod to listen to one
  • How to create an RSS feed

Your Space in a MySpace World – Tom Lancaster

They’re all the rage with those kids today: MySpace, Facebook, Blogspot and YouTube. What value do these social networking sites have for arts marketers, and how can they be used most effectively?
