Eve Campbell

Eve Campbell has worked in the nonprofit sector for over 25 years. Currently she continues this tradition as owner of smARThelp, a consulting firm dedicated to serving nonprofit arts organizations. Areas of expertise include strategic planning, crises intervention, board development, fundraising strategies and general support and education for boards transitioning from working boards to governing boards.
Eve’s love of the gay and lesbian choral movement and belief in GALA Choruses’ vision, "Our Voices Win Freedom," inspired her to focus on the strengthening of GLBT arts organizations administrative and operational processes. She believes even the smallest chorus can flourish if solid nonprofit best-practices are instituted and if mission driven strategic planning is utilized.
In addition to working with over 30 member GALA Choruses Ms. Campbell is a past president of the GALA Choruses Board of Directors and currently serves as a member of the organization’s communication committee. She is the recipient of the Extra Mile Award, honoring her work in the Dallas lesbian community, was awarded a Lifetime Membership for service to The Women’s Chorus of Dallas and was the first administrator to receive GALA Choruses highest honor, the Legacy Award.
John Niec
Board Member, GALA Choruses Inc.
John Niec is a certified Project Manager, works professionally as a project portfolio manager and teaches project management part-time. He also has a profound love for the arts, having earned a Masters in Music Theory and Composition. He was a choral singer in college and toured Europe twice. He has written several choral works, an opera and a musical. He has served on several non-profit boards and is currently the communications committee chair for GALA choruses.
Jane Ramseyer Miller
Artistic Director, One Voice Mixed Chorus
Jane Ramseyer Miller is in her thirteenth year as Artistic Director for One Voice Mixed Chorus and also serves as Executive Director of the organization. She holds Masters of Music in Choral Conducting from the University of Minnesota and a BA in Psychology from the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada. In addition to her work with One Voice, Ramseyer Miller has served as Music Director for Calliope Women’s Chorus, Fierra Voce Femmina, and Voices for Peace – a multi-cultural youth choir –
and has directed choral music for several congregations. Ramseyer Miller’s compositions are published by Yelton Rhodes Music and Pilgrim Press. In addition to working with numerous performing solo artists, she has collaborated in choral projects with 15-Head Theater Lab, The Women's Cancer Resource Center, Shakopee Women's Correctional Facility, In the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theatre, District 202, Mu Daiko, Kairos Dance Theatere, Kate Clinton and the Minnesota Philharmonic Orchestra among others.
David Monseur
Artistic Director, Columbus Gay Men’s Chorus
David Monseur is in his tenth season as Artistic Director of the Columbus Gay Men’s Chorus after beginning as Guest Conductor in 1997. Under David’s direction, the Chorus has expanded its membership and audience, broadened its performances to a theatrical event, and established itself as a leader in the GALA community. He has conducted internationally in London, Rome, and Montreal. During the summer of 2004, David was selected as the Guest Conductor of the Men’s Festival Chorus at GALA VII in Montreal. Prior to serving on the music faculty at Otterbein College, David was the conductor of the Ohio State University Chorus and Assistant Director of the OSU Men’s Glee Club. He holds degrees from Ohio State and Westminster Choir College, and is currently teaching music in Upper Arlington, Ohio.
Paul Feeney
President, Columbus Gay Men’s Chorus
Paul Feeney has been the Board President of the Columbus Gay Men’s Chorus since July 2005. During his tenure, the Chorus has established an endowment fund, expanded its outreach, hired a full time administrative staff person and is transitioning from a working to a governing board. Before his appointment as President, he served as the Chorus’ Special Events Director and then the Development Director. Before joining CGMC, he sang in the Vanderbilt University Concert Choir and the VU Chamber Singers. He also forgot the words during a solo in the a cappella singing group The Dodecaphonics. He sings in the Columbus Gay Men’s Chorus as a Tenor II and remains forever in awe of the artistic prowess of David Monseur.
Bill Loper
Artistic Director, Harmony: A Colorado Chorale
Bill Loper has served as Harmony’s Artistic Director since 2002, and previously served as AD of the Rainbow Chorus in Fort Collins. A native of Kentucky, he received a B.M.E. from the University of Kentucky and a M.M. from the University of Tennessee (Chattanooga). He has spent over thirty years teaching music in the public schools, currently directing choirs at Evergreen High School. He has received the Governor’s Award for Excellence in Education, KCNC Teacher who makes a difference and was honored with the Bill Loper Scholarship at Evergreen High School. Each year a graduate who is pursuing the performing arts will receive a $1500 scholarship. He is thrilled to be working with Harmony.
Pamela Blevins Hinkle
Artistic Director, Indianapolis Women’s Chorus
Pam Blevins Hinkle has over 25 years experience serving not-for-profit organizations. Presently she is in her second year as Executive Director of the Spirit & Place Festival and in her 10th year as Artistic Director of the Indianapolis Women’s Chorus. The Indianapolis Women’s Chorus and the Indianapolis Men’s Chorus operate under the umbrella of IndyChoruses.
Pam has also served as executive director, special projects director, director of marketing and development, board president and board treasurer for several cultural organizations in Pennsylvania and Indiana. For eight years, she ran a consulting practice that provided grant services, program development and strategic planning for not-for-profit organizations. Pam, who has also served as music director for two Unitarian Universalist congregations, received a 2003 Creative Renewal Arts Fellowship from the Arts Council of Indianapolis. She leads workshops for a variety of community groups on chant, creativity, and music improvisation, often working in partnership with artists, dancers, and yoga teachers.
Jill Robinson
President, Target Resource Group
Jill Robinson is President of Target Resource Group (TRG), one of the largest performing arts marketing consulting and direct response firms in the US. She began consulting for TRG in 1997, and now manages day-to-day operations of the company’s consulting and direct response groups. In addition, Ms. Robinson continues to work with clients that include the Houston Ballet, the Wang Center for the Performing Arts in Boston, and Opera Colorado in Denver.
Ms. Robinsons’ special field of interest and expertise is that of direct marketing, in which she earned an advanced degree from the University of Missouri in Kansas City. Jill received her MBA from the University of Colorado in 2003, and completed her undergraduate studies at Indiana University in Bloomington.
Ms. Robinson’s career within the performing arts industry included senior level marketing management positions at the Milwaukee, Kansas City, and South Bend (IN) symphonies. Jill started in the performing arts at the Fort Wayne (IN) Philharmonic.
Ms. Robinson is a frequent presenter at professional conferences, including the national conferences of American Symphony Orchestra League, Dance/USA, Opera America and INTIX.
William F. (Rick) Lester
Chief Executive Officer, Target Resource Group
Rick Lester is CEO of Target Resource Group, the largest performing arts marketing consulting and direct response firm in the US. Previously, Mr. Lester was the president of Lester & Associates, a company he founded following an extensive career as a marketing and public relations professional at the Cincinnati Symphony and The Cleveland Orchestra.
His successes in the marketing field led him to positions as president/executive director of the San Antonio (TX) Symphony, the Charlotte (NC) Symphony Orchestra, and the Knoxville Symphony (TN). In each of these organizations, Rick helped achieve records for both earned and contributed revenues.
For more than a decade before he founded Lester & Associates, Rick had also been a freelance consultant to orchestras, as well as to numerous state and national non-profit organizations.
Rick Lester has assisted with projects for the American Symphony Orchestra League (he was both Vice-Chair and Chair of Group 2 Orchestra Managers and a frequent presenter); the National Endowment for the Arts (he was a member of the NEA’s Challenge Panel for Policy Review); the Pew Charitable Trusts; and the Cleveland Foundation. In 1996, Rick earned an MBA from Queens College in Charlotte, NC. Rick is a member of the board of trustees of Drury University in Springfield, MO, and is a former trustee of the American Symphony Orchestra League.
Hope Wisneski, LCSW
Director of Youth Services, The Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center of Colorado
Hope Wisneski is the Director of Youth Services for The Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Community Center of Colorado. Ms. Wisneski received her Master of Social Work Degree from the University of Denver and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She has more than 10 years of experience working with youth in various settings, including locked facilities, outpatient mental health, non-profit administration and community building. Her expertise in working with GLBTQ youth spans 9 years and she now specializes in working with the GLBTQ youth population on tobacco prevention and cessation. As the Director of Youth Services, she has the opportunity to represent GLBTQ youth on many community collaborations, provide technical assistance to outside agencies, and oversee grants, evaluation and operations for Rainbow Alley, Denver’s only GLBTQ drop-in space. She has provided GLBT competency training to more than 1,000 individuals in private and government agencies, and presents at conferences locally, statewide and nationally.
